At the end of May, Caleb and I were able to travel to Utah for my sister Arielle's wedding. Unfortunately Brydon wasn't able to come with us (darn work) but we were really excited to get to go out for the wedding. It is a long drive but worth it. We arrived in Farmington on Thursday afternoon and jumped right into wedding festivities. After an evening of pedicures and fun girl stuff, it was time to get a little rest before the big day.
We got to wake up to the famous Simpson pancakes before sending the bride off to get ready.
My Super Gorgeous Sister!
Caleb was a super trooper. There was a lot going on but nothing very exciting for a 6 year old. Fortunately he got to meet a wonderful new friend, Jacob. Thank goodness for Jacob's patience and friendship. It would have been a long night without him!
Isn't he handsome! Caleb was a part of the ring bearer security and the outfits were so adorable!
Love that good looking boy!
I have never been a part of any wedding party before and so it was exciting to get to be a part of my sister's wedding. Her colors were a dark gray with light and dark pink accents. I ended up making my dress (with the help of my seamstress friend Natalee) and I think it turned out pretty well.
Helping the beaming bride get ready for the ceremony.
The ceremony and reception were held at The Castle in Layton. It is a beautiful building and grounds.
My other gorgeous sister and beautiful sister-in-law helping out.
Arielle was Miss Farmington a couple years back and got to know the mayor of Farmington.
He was kind enough perform the ceremony for them.
Lol....I have no idea what I am doing but there we all are. The blushing bride and the brides maids. We sure did have a lot of fun.
During the dollar dance, Caleb got to dance with Aunt Arielle.
He was so cute and tried to be all serious.
The dance was a lot of fun! Even my nephew Braydon got in on the action and his dad got good at spinning him around the floor.
Grandpa showed off his sweet dancing skills when Gammy wanted a chance to dance. They showed everyone up with their abilities.
The wedding couldn't have been more perfect! Everything was so beautiful and the day went off without a hitch! We had so much fun and we are so happy for Arielle and Ryan!
A big thanks to Lisa Rosser for sharing some pictures. I wasn't able to carry my camera around easily so thanks to her I had some pictures to share. However I did notice I don't have a single one of Ryan. Just trust me when I say they are the cutest couple ever!
