Another Season of Soccer

Caleb was excited to play another season of soccer!
He had improved so much last year and really enjoyed the Upward program, so we had to try it out again.  This year he was on the 6-7 year old league and played for team Avalanche.  We got an awesome coach, Coach Mike, who also happens to be one of our good friends from church.
Ready for the Big First Game!!
I love how they get to start each game.  Getting to run through the banner is so cute!
Running like a mad man!  Doing a great job getting in there!
We learned quickly that we didn't have the team that would win the most games, but we most definitely had the sweetest team ever!  Any time anyone fell down our team would all stop and help the player up.  We had the cutest girls on our team and the families we got to meet were really great.
So A+ for sportsmanship!

We did have a great grand finale for our last game!
Caleb scored 3 goals!  Check out his break away!
We won our last game!  And these cute kiddos were so excited!
Way to go Avalanche!!
The Sweetest Team Ever!
And our great coaches!
Caleb's 1st grade teacher and her husband came to watch his final game.
It was a great game for them to see.
Thanks Coach Mike!!
Another Successful Soccer Season!!

Dodge Ball!
Good ol' Four Square! Loved that game in elementary school!
Cup Stacking! A unique thing they learn in PE here but Caleb was quite good at it.

Time to get wet!!
The slip 'n slide was a hit!
Water Limbo!
A fun water dance!
Water Relay
Flag Football Fun!
And the Long Jump Winner Is........
Caleb!!

These are the days that being a Stay at Home Mom is the best job ever!
Love hanging out with my boy!

Field Trip to Western Heritage Day

Hardin Simmons University has a big Western Heritage Day exhibit each year.  The K-2 grade students all get to go for a field trip.  It is a fun event and the kids learn a lot about being a cowboy!
Trying to rope the sheep
Checking out the beautiful Hardin Simmons 6 White Horse Team.
Everyone loves a pony!
The petting zoo area included sheep goats, a mule, and a calf.
Learning how to use a water pump and then learning how to wash clothes on a wash board.
Face Painting!
Eating beans and biscuits! Yum Yum!
The last station the kids got to meet a farrier and learn how you trim a horses hooves and put shoes on.  It was fun to watch and brought back some good childhood memories since my dad was/is a farrier.  Always nice to get in touch with my farm girl side every once in a while.  It was a fun field trip and the weather was perfect!  I love getting to go on field trips and love that my son loves that I go!
