Adventures in Utah

After the wedding, Caleb and I decided to spend a week in Utah.  School was out and we had the chance to spend fun time with family.

Hogle Zoo
Silly Caleb
This fun Lego Exhibit was at the Philadelphia Zoo when we lived there.  It was fun to see it again.
Cute Braydon
Sweetest and Cutest Cousins Ever!
These two crack me up and are so darn handsome!

It is an amazing exhibit!  Caleb was excited to find the Polar Bear again.
A great view of the Lynx!
What is it with weird picture faces lately?!?  Oh well, photos to torture him with lately!
University of Utah
Such a beautiful view!  We do miss the mountains.
We wore the poor guy out!  So sweet with his new river otter.
Caleb acquired a new Polar Bear.  This boy LOVES stuffed animals!

City Creek Center
I was excited to finally get to see the new City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake.  It is a beautiful shopping center and we had a lot of fun checking it out.  Of course the fountains were a favorite!

I think I remember telling Caleb to try not to get wet.  Not sure why I bothered because I knew better.
Caleb was soaked by the end but so happy!  That boy is truly happy in water in whatever form.
An amazing view of the Temple from City Creek.  So wonderful!
The fountain show was incredible.  It included fire and water with great music.  Quite the show!

Fun Grandpa Time!  It was so fun to get to see Grandpa.

Welfare Square
Our Church is amazing!  Welfare Square is one of our Church's headquarters for disaster relief and aid.  Tours are free and it was fascinating to see the all that is done there.  At this facility our Church makes bread, jam, cheese, and processes milk.  We were able to walk through the factories and sample some of the products.  In less than 48 hours our church can have semi trucks loaded with supplies and offering relief wherever needed.  It was so neat to see the things our church can do for others.  I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Josh, Tori, and Ben were good sports to come on the tour with us and hang out!

Ferris Wheel Fun!
There happens to be a new Scheels in Utah and it is huge!  Huge enough to house a large Ferris Wheel in the center.  Caleb has been terrified of Ferris Wheels.  Some time ago he had a nightmare about a Ferris Wheel and has been scared to death of them.  Just the sight of them makes him nervous  When we got free tokens for the Ferris Wheel, I was sure that Caleb would say No.  I was surprised when he wanted to try it out.  He was scared but he did it.
He loved it in the end!

We have been so lucky to spend time with my siblings!

My Sister's Big Wedding

At the end of May, Caleb and I were able to travel to Utah for my sister Arielle's wedding.  Unfortunately Brydon wasn't able to come with us (darn work) but we were really excited to get to go out for the wedding.  It is a long drive but worth it.  We arrived in Farmington on Thursday afternoon and jumped right into wedding festivities.  After an evening of pedicures and fun girl stuff, it was time to get a little rest before the big day.
We got to wake up to the famous Simpson pancakes before sending the bride off to get ready.
My Super Gorgeous Sister!
Caleb was a super trooper.  There was a lot going on but nothing very exciting for a 6 year old.  Fortunately he got to meet a wonderful new friend, Jacob.  Thank goodness for Jacob's patience and friendship.  It would have been a long night without him!
Isn't he handsome!  Caleb was a part of the ring bearer security and the outfits were so adorable!
Love that good looking boy!
I have never been a part of any wedding party before and so it was exciting to get to be a part of my sister's wedding.  Her colors were a dark gray with light and dark pink accents.  I ended up making my dress (with the help of my seamstress friend Natalee) and I think it turned out pretty well.

Helping the beaming bride get ready for the ceremony.
The ceremony and reception were held at The Castle in Layton.  It is a beautiful building and grounds.
My other gorgeous sister and beautiful sister-in-law helping out.
Arielle was Miss Farmington a couple years back and got to know the mayor of Farmington.
He was kind enough perform the ceremony for them.
Lol....I have no idea what I am doing but there we all are.  The blushing bride and the brides maids.  We sure did have a lot of fun.
During the dollar dance, Caleb got to dance with Aunt Arielle.
He was so cute and tried to be all serious.
The dance was a lot of fun!  Even my nephew Braydon got in on the action and his dad got good at spinning him around the floor.
Grandpa showed off his sweet dancing skills when Gammy wanted a chance to dance.  They showed everyone up with their abilities.

The wedding couldn't have been more perfect!  Everything was so beautiful and the day went off without a hitch!  We had so much fun and we are so happy for Arielle and Ryan!

A big thanks to Lisa Rosser for sharing some pictures.  I wasn't able to carry my camera around easily so thanks to her I had some pictures to share.  However I did notice I don't have a single one of Ryan.  Just trust me when I say they are the cutest couple ever!

It's Good-Bye to First Grade

I can't believe First Grade is over and now we have a Second Grader!
Where does the time go?!?!
Our smarty made the Honor Roll and received an award at the First Grade Ceremony.
Mrs. Stewart was a super sweet teacher and we were sad to say good-bye.
We are grateful for caring teachers like her.
Look out Second Grade!  Here We Come!!
Ahhhhh!!  Our babies growing up!
